Purpose

Support the Service Engineer during the AE overhaul by performing mechanical work, preparatory tasks, and safe handling of components.

The ASSISTANT ENGINEER shall have the following qualifications:

• 2–3 years’ experience as diesel mechanic / marine engine room rating / industrial mechanic.
• Practical experience with:
  • Dismantling/assembling machinery
  • Cleaning and preparing parts
  • Handling tools and measuring equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and safe work procedures.
• Basic technical education or trade school certification.
• Advantage: Experience with generators, compressors, pumps, or auxiliary marine engines.
