Responsibilities
· In charge for the entire hotel operation onboard across all departments (Guest Services, Restaurant, Bar, Galley, Provisions, Housekeeping)
· Cost controlling and budgeting, food ordering, stock monitoring
· Responsible for all hotel personnel, level of performance, discipline and development
· Responsible for maintaining the service and hygiene standards onboard
· Compliance with and enforcement of applicable regulations
· Responsible for delivering the onboard operation based on irregular hours or schedules
· Participates in various onboard social functions
· Participates in on board safety training, meetings and drills
Profile
· Ideally has experience in expedition cruising (but not mandatory)
· Experience with high end hospitality/cruising operations desirable
· Excellent communication and managerial skills
· Strong time management skills; able to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
· STCW certification
· Familiar with the ISM codes and requirements
· Fluent knowledge of English
