The Food & Beverage Training Officer shall have the following qualifications:
- Seagoing experience in an F & B officer position, or a university degree and experience in the maritime industry of not less than (2) years;
- A good command of the English language(written & verbal) ;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Certified train the trainer as per IMO model course 6.09;
- Experience with training multi cultural crew;
- Should have practical and theoretical training and development experience;
- Must be able to work independently, have sufficient computer skills to create training presentations;
The Food & Beverage Training Officer is responsible to:
- Create & deliver specific face to face training programs on board when assigned;
- Maintain an updated file for the approved training syllabuses;
- Prepare monthly training reports;
- Prepare the quarterly feedback summary;
- Conduct training centres and courses evaluations as assigned;
- Mentor and coach the crew on board;
- Review of Task books and competency management assignments;
- Be adequately conversant with the Company’s Management System;
- Implement effectively the Company’s Management System;
- Contribute to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
- Promote and support efforts for continuous improvement;
- Evaluate ship feedback and report to Head Office
- Accommodate any other special tasks, if assigned;
