The Assistant Crewing Superintendent is responsible for:
· Conducting crew changes in compliance with the Seafarers’ Employment Agreement and as agreed with the Crewing Superintendent;
· Verifying that all Seafarers are trained and qualified in full compliance with Company’s, STCW and Flag State requirements;
· Informing Crew Wages Department on any changes of the employment status, i.e. signing on and off of seafarers;
· Participating in Crew Planning, promotion and Career development;
· Participating in the recruitment activities;
· Checking monthly mail from vessel. Prepare mail to vessel and follow up;
· Reviewing vessel’s disbursement accounts upon request in co-operation with designated Superintendent;
· Informing relevant parties of any medical cases/accidents and follow up of these cases maintaining P&I related documentation;
· Arranging accident/deviation insurance for non fare paying passengers;
· Arranging for Cash to Master;
· Verifying and approve for payment of Travelling Expenses upon request;
· Performing any other special tasks as may be assigned;
· Being adequately conversant with the Company’s Management System;
· Implementing effectively the Company’s Management System;
· Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
· Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of two (2) years working experience onboard a ship or ashore in a shipping/ ship management company;
· Good command of the English language;
· Computer knowledge;
· Organizational skills.
