We are seeking to recruit an QSHE Officer in Mumbai, India.
Position Overview
The QSHE officer supports the effective implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of the Company’s Management System. The role ensures compliance with international and national regulations, customer requirements, and industry standards, including the ISM, ISPS, MLC, MARPOL, SOLAS, STCW, COLREG, IMDG, ISO standards, and relevant national/flag regulations. Acting as a vital link between shipboard teams and the Company, the position promotes a strong culture of Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental Protection, and Energy Efficiency.
This position reports directly to the QSHE Manager.
Key Responsibilities
•Maintain registration of Management System documentation.
•Keep records of QSHE Department’s Objectives, Targets, Programs, and KPIs.
•Schedule departmental and Management Review Meetings, prepare agendas, take and circulate minutes.
•Be fully conversant with and implement the Company’s Management System.
•Contribute to development and amendment of procedures.
•Promote and support continual improvement initiatives.
•Maintain office audit plan and administer audit documentation.
•Monitor corrective actions for audit non-conformities and ensure timely implementation.
•Maintain records of Annual Notification Exercises (ANE) and notify vessels accordingly.
•Monitor unannounced Drug & Alcohol tests across the fleet.
•Prepare and submit ISM Declaration of Company and Declaration of DPA to flag administrations.
•Track progress of departmental action plans.
•Ensure AMOS QMS notifications are acknowledged by office staff.
•Maintain centralized register for Management of Change (MOC) and administer documentation.
•Monitor MOC target dates and send reminders to responsible persons.
•Participate in various projects as assigned
