Port Operations Specialist
Job Description

We are seeking to recruit a Port Operations Specialist in Limassol Cyprus.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact for port agents and Owners regarding port operation topics
  • Appoint, evaluate performance, and keep records of Port Agents
  • Assist in budget planning and forecasts
  • Monitor sailing areas, itinerary, deviations, and associated operational requirements
  • Coordinate with Owners and internal departments on port, bunkering, and voyage matters
  • Manage PDAs and FDAs and ensure timely prefunding and budget monitoring
  • Assist in handling of bunker plan, fuel budget and invoice processing
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and Company procedures
  • Track operational KPIs and support procedural improvements and continual development
  • Represent the Company at meetings, forums, when required
  •  Maintain full familiarity and effectively implement the Company Management System
  • Any additional tasks and projects assigned by the Head of Department or Company Management

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in port operations dealing with port operations budget, agencies and working with disbursement accounts, or relevant experience as seagoing Officer, or a university degree in shipping studies
  • Solid understanding of port operations, regulations, and industry standards
  •  Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office systems
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • MXP experience is an advantage
