Administrative Assistant (Marine)
The Administrative Assistant (Marine) shall have the following qualifications:
- Good command of the English language;
- Good secretarial education and experience;
- Good typing skills and familiarity with computer programmes;
- Good organizational and communication skills;
- Ability to work within a team.
Job Description
The Administrative Assistant (Marine) is responsible for:
- Maintaining the Marine Superintendents qualification record;
- Providing secretarial services and assistance to the Marine Manager (as applicable) and Marine Superintendents;
- Maintaining control and collating project related work;
- Maintaining control of Hot Work and UKC folders on the Shared Drive;
- Providing support to the Marine Officer in maintaining the visit planner;
- Managing office supplies including logbooks;
- Providing Master’s handover reports to the Marine Manager (as applicable);
- Entering external inspections into CAPE, generate the response pro-forma and maintaining control on the Shared Drive;
- Entering Master’s Navigation assessments in CAPE and maintaining control on the Shared Drive;
- Being adequately conversant with the Company’s Management System;
- Implementing effectively the Company’s Management System;
- Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
- Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement;
- Providing secretarial services to the Marine Department;
- Conducting any other special tasks as assigned.
The Administrative Assistant Marine reports and is accountable to the Marine Manager (as applicable)
