The Environmental & Energy Officer shall have the following qualifications:

• A university degree;
• Seagoing experience in a junior position and/or at least two years relevant work experience within the shipping industry;
• A good command of the English language;
• Good leadership, controlling and communication skills as well the ability to work within a team;
• Environmental & Energy Management System Training.

The Environmental & Energy Officer is responsible for:

• Reviewing and analysing environmental & energy efficiency performance of the Company, in close cooperation with the Environmental Compliance Manager;
• Maintaining environmental & energy efficiency key performance indicators;
• Being adequately conversant with the Company’s Management System;
• Implementing effectively the Company’s Management System;
• Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
• Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement;
• Reporting to the QSHE Manager / DPA trends or issues which may require additional follow-up activities;
• Organize and document the EMS-team meetings;
• Assisting the Environmental Compliance Manager upon request.

The Environmental & Energy Officer reports and is accountable to the QSHE Manager / DPA.
