Crewing Fleet Manager
We are seeking to recruit a Crewing Fleet Manager to join our team in Athens (Voula), Greece.
Job Description
The Crewing Fleet Manager shall have the following qualifications:
- Seagoing experience as an officer, or a university degree and experience in the maritime industry of not less than five years;
- Good leadership and communication skills;
- Good command of the English language;
- To be fully conversant with applicable international and national rules and regulations.
The Crewing Fleet Manager is responsible for:
- Ensuring that activities of the are well planned, organized and safeguards established against all identified risks;
- Implementing effectively and maintaining Company’s Management System;
- Being fully conversant with the Company’s Management System;
- Complying with company objectives and set KPIs and drive the same within teams;
- Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
- Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement;
- Ensuring that non-conformities, observations and customer complaints internal or external) are investigated and timely followed-up;
- Promoting awareness for customer requirements;
- Representing the Maritime HR Department in the Company’s Emergency Response Team and being conversant with assigned duties in case of an emergency;
- Reviewing and analyzing crew performance (operational & behavioral) trends and recommend actions to support continuous improvement;
- Monitoring the manpower supply sufficiency of the as well as Officers and Cadets career progression & development;
- Supervising the crewing activities related to new ships entering management or ships leaving management and ensuring the proper communication with the customers;
- Overseeing the daily operations of the of the assigned Fleet;
- Ensuring that crewing operations are executed according to the client’s agreed-upon budgets and applying efficient cost management control;
- Guiding the departmental staff, when required, and provide opportunities for their continuous professional development;
- Organizing team building activities with the team after prior approvals;
- Actively looking into the welfare of onboard seafarers and report any discrepancies to the Senior Crewing Manager or the Group Director Crewing Operations;
- Executing any other tasks assigned by the Group Director of Crewing Operations or Senior Crewing Fleet Manager;
The Crewing Fleet Manager reports to and is accountable to the Senior Crewing Fleet Manager and acts as a backup to the Senior Crewing Manager.
