Due to our continuous expansion, we are looking for the right individuals to strengthen and complement our team. This position will be based in Manila.
The training officer shall have the following qualifications:
- Seagoing experience in an officer position, or a university degree and experience in the maritime industry of not less than (2) years;
- A good command of the English language;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Certified train the trainer as per IMO model course 6.09.
The Training Officer is responsible for:
- Conducting in house courses as required;
- Complete specific training programs onboard when assigned;
- Maintaining an updated file for the approved training syllabuses;
- Preparing monthly training reports;
- Preparing the quarterly feedback summary;
- Conducting training centres and courses evaluations as assigned;
- Follow up on Open Observations;
- Maintain control on the Training Center Evaluation Schedule;
- Review of Taskbooks and competency management assignments;
- Being adequately conversant with the Company’s Management System;
- Implementing effectively the Company’s Management System;
- Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
- Promoting and supporting efforts for continuous improvement;
- Any other special tasks as may be assigned;
