Legal Officer Maritime

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Officer with a deep understanding of maritime law and regulations. The Legal Officer (Maritime) will be part of the Legal Team who is responsible for all legal matters (Marine & Corporate) of the Group. The Legal Officer (Maritime) will be responsible for marine legal matters which includes review/drafting of management agreements, repair agreements, ship finance documents and other related agreement/contracts. The Legal Officer (Maritime) will report to the Legal Counsel, the Group General Manager Insurance & Legal and Group General Manager Claims & Legal.


Responsibilities:
-Review, draft, and negotiate contracts related to maritime operations, including Management
Agreements, repair contracts, vessel leases, and ship finance documents.
-Communicating with the Group General Manager Insurance & Legal, Group General Manager Claims
& Legal, Management, various law firms, auditors, advisors and other external parties;
-Ensuring that the files of the Legal section are well kept and frequently updated;
-Implementing effectively the Company’s Management System;
-Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
-Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement;
-Undertaking special tasks and projects that might be assigned by the Top Management.
Qualifications:
-A university degree in Law and Postgraduate University degree in Maritime Law;
-Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing maritime law;
-Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office applications;
-Ability to work within a team;
-Very good written and verbal language skills in Greek and English.
-Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
-In-depth knowledge of international maritime conventions and regulations.
-Familiarity with maritime industry practices and terminology.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications:
